Plagiarism of web sites
One Sunday afternoon, you decide as a website designer to stroll on the net, just to pick up new trends. When suddenly you come across a site that looks like every feature your latest creation! Congratulations, you have been « copy - paste ».
Intrigued by this strange resemblance, you decide to click on all the pages to determine how far the resemblance goes. After a few seconds you take stock: concept, design, editorial, layout of text and graphs ... everything, absolutely everything fits! The deception is revealed! Driven by a sense of injustice and anger, you choose to analyze the source code of the clone site. You note with amazement that all of your programming has been copied! Everything is there, you recognize your code, your organization, your tips, brief your creation!
This process is called barbaric in our jargon to "copy - paste" its website. Nothing is easier, it takes the property of others, we copy, we will change 2 or 3 details of text and graph and voila!
In a few clicks it offered a new website without even thinking or writing a single line of programming.
But beware, this practice is perfectly illegalBecause the concept of "copy - paste" violates all laws relating to copyright (Articles L. 111-1 and L. 335-3 of the Code of Intellectual Property).
Of course, we said: "It happens to others!". But when you learn, often by chance that your website has been plagiarized and well you feel helpless and alone in the world behind your screen.
Internet is a vast wasteland where it is difficult to monitor the actions of each. You can very well do you plagiarize without ever realizing it!
We therefore wish to appeal: Site owners, colleagues, protect your Web sites, protect your hours of work and reflection, protect your creations, protect your know-how!
